Labor Becker is an established clinical laboratory based in Munich, Germany, covering a broad spectrum of diagnostic tests, including basic, specialised, and hospital laboratory diagnostics. With an extensive network spanning thousands of doctor practices and numerous hospitals, Labor Becker processes tens of thousands of samples per week.

Innovation has always been a ground pillar in Labor Becker, starting the newborn screening programme in Germany back in 1998, being one of the few laboratories operating a blood bank, and hosting the biggest automated track for sample processing in Europe. An interdisciplinary network of doctors and scientists not only ensures high-quality diagnostics on a daily basis but also stays at the forefront of new analytical methods, validating assays and novel technologies for clinical use.

Becker Innovation serves as a dynamic interface between Labor Becker's wealth of expertise, extensive network of medical professionals, and state-of-the-art facilities, and external sources of innovation who are driving advancements in in-vitro diagnostics. Becker Innovation functions as a collaborative innovation platform facilitating validation projects, co-developments, and partnerships to get novel diagnostic solutions market-ready.

It is our new Sandbox Lab that offers over 180 m² of equipped and modular BSL-2 laboratory space as a playground to test and validate new technologies with the expert support of Labor Becker.

Lab-as-a-Service
